About Gym-a-Roos
Gym-a-Roos is run by Emma West, who was inspired to create a Southampton-based gymnastic club for toddlers and preschoolers after more than 17 years teaching gymnastics to children. Emma works with a team of enthusiastic coaches to provide a fun, engaging and interactive experience for children to enjoy the world of early gymnastics.

“I’ve been involved in gymnastics for over 30 years. As a gymnast I competed at regional and national level and then went on to perform in the Millennium Dome show, specialising in trapeze and trampoline.
I’ve taught gymnastics for over 20 years and have discovered a real passion for pre-school gymnastics, an area in which I’ve specialised in for the the past ten years. I thoroughly enjoy teaching younger years the basic foundations of gymnastics in a fun and interactive way.

“I took up gymnastics when I was five years old and continued until I reached 17. I’ve always had a love of coaching gymnastics, and have been doing it since the age of 14! After studying childcare at college, I went on to work with children in preschools and nurseries.
Over the last few years I’ve been able to combine my love of gymnastics and working with children as a preschool gymnastics coach - and I’m excited to be able to bring my skills and enthusiasm to the sessions at Gym-a-Roos.”
